About Abby

Abby is an interpreter and lifelong explorer and student of healing practices that help us reconnect to our animistic roots, to nature and to spirit.

After earning her bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and becoming certified Spanish-English interpreter, she spent years interpreting in U.S. hospitals- from psychiatric units to emergency rooms. While this work was rewarding, she sensed how often illness had spiritual or emotional roots that were left unaddressed—sparking a deep desire to explore more integrative approaches to healing.

Her path eventually led her to the Peruvian Amazon, interpreting for plant-medicine ceremonies and trainings of curanderos with Shamanic Voyage’s Magic of the Amazon. These experiences deepened her reverence for our forgotten ancestral wisdom and magic, and she came to appreciate language as a bridge that nurtures understanding, connection and healing across borders.

Abby also speaks conversational Arabic, which she studied while living among Bedouin tribes in the Jordanian desert.

Whether interpreting or teaching, Abby’s mission is to help others share their voices, stories, and healing traditions across cultures, in order to bring more harmony and compassion both to ourselves and the world around us.
